Welcome back to another interview!
Today I am interviewing the lovely Rachel of @rachelbeautystyle, I’ve been following Rachel since I started my Instagram I believe. I remember reading one of her old blog posts, and I found out we had so much in common! Please do check out Rachel’s blog and IG for fashion, makeup and skincare tips + super cute pics of her bub, Harry!
Tell us about yourself
My name is Rachel and I’m 29 years old, born and bred in Sydney. I’ve loved beauty for as long as I can remember. More recently I’ve become a mum so I’m trying to navigate mum life while still being me. I try to get outside once a day whether it be a walk with my son or down to the beach for a swim.
Why did you start up your blog and Instagram account?
I used to have a blog with my friend but then our visions changed so I launched Rachel Beauty Style. I wanted to focus more on fashion while still sharing my love for beauty.
Top 3 favourite beauty stores?
Can you share one of your beauty secrets with us?
Not really sure if it’s a secret, but if you love your skin and have the funds I recommend getting regular facials. When I have facials once a month- every 6 weeks my skin is radiant!
Congratulations on becoming a mum! How’s mum life treating you so far?
We have our good days and bad days. It’s been a big adjustment to try and go with the flow as I’m a massive control freak but we’re in a good place at the moment. Harry’s personality is coming through which is so cute to see even if it means he’s throwing his toys already.
What are you looking forward to in 2020?
Sounds lame but getting back to work. While I love being a mum I also love my job and I think it will make me appreciate the time I have with Harry even more.
I should also mention going away for my 30th birthday eek!
What was the last book/movie/TV show you watched/read? How was it?
Just finished watching Virgin River on Netflix and loved how easy it was to watch.
Reminded me of Gilmore Girls, small town charm, love story and not the best acting.
What’s on your current wish list?
A gorgeous new dress from Kivari!
I always see you sharing food on your story! What are your top 3 favourite dishes?
Mum’s homemade curry- not her new recipes, stick to the old ones Mum!
Good quality steak.
Potatoes in any form, mash, fried whatever.
Where can we find you on social media?
That’s all for this week, see you next week for a review on a skincare product that I’ve been trialling!
Have a great week!
