What’s The Fuss About Magnesium?*

Hi everyone!

Hope April has been treating you all well. Today’s blog post is all about magnesium and features products from Amazing Oils – an Australian, family-run company from Queensland . I’m sure you’ve all heard of magnesium before and you might’ve noticed that it has some health benefits as well!

For those who don’t know much about Amazing Oils, as mentioned above they’re an Australian company that produces magnesium products such as magnesium moisturisers, magnesium oil sprays and more. To learn more about Amazing Oils click here and to find out more about their products, click here.

Magnesium is actually the fourth most abundant mineral in the human body and is required for 1,200 of 1,600 bodily functions. Magnesium creates biochemical reactions and helps to reduce, control and moderate cellular oxidative damage.

Magnesium helps relieve:

  • Muscular injuries, aches and pains
  • Cramping and restless legs
  • Insomnia and poor sleep quality
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Joint pain and arthritic pain
  • Healthy bone density
  • PMT-related cramps and tensions
  • Mild skin irritations and inflammation
  • Stress and nervous tension
  • Energy production and mood regulation

I have been trialling a few of their products, the spray, gel roll on and
bath flakes. They can be purchased as a pack here.

Magnesium Oil Spray:

Contains our famous 100% pure, organically sourced Magnesium Oil, from the Salt Lakes of Australia. We make sure our Natural Magnesium Oil is Australian sourced and made. None of that overseas stuff. The 250ml size magnesium oil is definitely one of our most popular!

Using the Amazing Magnesium Oil Spray regularly, this bottle will last approx 6 months. We recommend leaving it either on the bathroom bench or next to the bed for easy regular access. Implementing a few sprays of our Amazing Magnesium into your daily routine is the definitely the best way to gain the benefits of Magnesium.

Apply where needed.

My thoughts:

I use this on my legs/lower body to help with sleeping and just to help relax a bit overall. I keep it near my bedside so I can spray at night, but I have found it does leave a bit of a greasy feeling on my floor boards when I spray at night. To fix this, I’ve moved it to my bathroom and I just spray my legs/where it’s needed, and anything that doesn’t get on my skin can be easily washed away in the shower or bath.

There is a slight tingly sensation when you start using it so it’s recommended that you build up your tolerance over time.

Magnesium Gel Roll On:

Our Amazing Magnesium Gel Roll-On has quickly risen to be a fan favourite. Made from the same famous organically sourced Magnesium Oil and mixed with a very small amount of organic Xanthan Gum. This creates a gel-like texture without any reduction in the Magnesium’s effectiveness.

It is recommended that magnesium is applied via topical application (on the skin), as the majority of magnesium taken orally is lost in the digestive process. The odourless, non oily and convenient gel roll-on makes for the perfect travel companion. Keep it in your handbag, gym bag or the car. If you prefer to keep it at home, try keeping it in the bathroom and using it every day to gain the most benefit from the Amazing Magnesium.

Each bottle lasts an individual approx 3 months with regular use.

Apply where needed.

My thoughts:

When I’m not too bothered to use the spray, I use the roll on as it’s much easier – just roll on and you’re done!

I keep this near my bed as well for when I don’t have time or forget to go to the bathroom to use the spray. You have to rub this in but it applies super easily and is good for spots like behind the knees because of the curved shape.

Magnesium Bath Flakes:

Our Amazing Magnesium Bath Flakes are your personal relaxation assistant. Made from pure, organically sourced Magnesium Chloride flakes (Not Magnesium Sulfate!). Taking a warm bath in these Amazing Magnesium Flakes is an effective way to relax and unwind after a long day.

You only need to use 1/2 cup in a regular sized bath.

This pack will provide you with approx 10 soaks, or 25+ foot baths.

My thoughts:

I prefer to use this as a foot bath/soak, rather than in a bath because after a long day of work I just want to get clean ASAP and then get on with whatever else I need to do that day.

I like to use this after a day of work, my shifts are 9 hours long so I’m standing for quite some time during the day. After I take a shower and eat dinner I get a bucket and fill it with hot water (or warm water if you find it to be too hot), I put a tablespoon or so into the bucket and just soak my feet whilst I’m doing uni work on my laptop. I pour the water out once it starts getting cold.

If you’d like to learn more about these products, there are other reviews on their website with many happy customers talking about how much magnesium oil has helped them! As I don’t have any problems with joint pain, muscle aches, cramps etc. I mainly use the magnesium for sleep and relaxation. This would make a great gift for those with older friends or family members who suffer from joint pain, or anyone that participates in a lot of physical activity and suffers from muscle aches. If they’re unsure about whether this is right for them, feel free to send them my blog post so they can have a read – it has all the links to the products as well, if they wanted to know more or purchase some for themselves.

That’s all I have for this week, thanks so much for reading! I hope you got to learn more about these amazing magnesium products. Have you tried any magnesium products before?

With love,

*These products were gifted in exchange for a review. All opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own. I am not being paid in any way to post about these.
